It might improve things for people who have a hard time getting past inhibitions otherwise. For those who don't have that barrier, it may create more issues than it solves.

I like sober sex when its with someone i actually care bout but if its its just a sexual relationship with a attractive person but you don't want a relationship sometimes being buzzed or drunk makes it feel better to me.
Some women I have been with need to use alcohol to lower their inhibitions, not necessarily to engage in sex, but to allow themselves to be less inhibited to express how aroused they are. I don't drink.
