Say you recognize someone from high school but never really spoke to that person. Y'all have a good number of mutual friends on Facebook/Instagram/social media, and you're obviously from the same area. Still, you don't really know that person and have never spoken, but you're interesting in making some kind of move.
Who's been through this situation? Was it successful or a failure? How did you make your move and what did you say? Curious to hear some opinions/stories.
Next time you see them in person somewhere, anywhere, say hi and introduce yourself. Mention some bit of news that a mutual friend has up on their FB page, or something. It's not about whether an approach in this set of circumstances works or not. It's about the individual; is she open to getting to know you, or not. Does she have a bf, or not (if she did, she'd probably have that on her page). An approach can work or not, depending. There's no way to know until you try.
