My trusty electric shaver that I've had forever has finally given up the ghost. Went to go and shave and nothing, dead, nada. LOL

First world problems I tell ya.

Finally went and had my hand x-rayed after bashing the **** out of it.

In other news, I dislike painting.

Is the hand ok?

A while back I mentioned here how I stabbed the hell out of my thumb with an ice pick. I was going to town stabbing away at the ice trying to break it up. I was moving around a piece and caught myself on the thumb and I felt it hit the bone. You know how when you bite into a sausage or hot dog that has the casing on it. That little pop. Well, I felt that same pop on my thumb. LOL.

LOL, it was gross as hell and hurt pretty good. I iced it an kept and eye on it for a day or so. Swelling went down and all appears to be ok. LOL.

Painting sucks, or the prep work for it sucks, the actual painting isn't too bad.

Painting is the cheapest way to make a visually positive change to the home.

Didn't break anything.

The prep doesn't bother me. Also, regular bristles instead of foam brushes work better for some projects.

How do you like the book so far?
Same here. Pre-1990 was his best work, IMO.

Since I moved away from the states around this time, my access to King's novels tapered off until I moved back in the late 1990s. I missed a good chunk of his work, but up until 1989 I read pretty much everything including the Bachman books. I just started catching up recently, and currently reading Everything's Eventual. So far so good!

"The Mist" playing on the "Spike" channel is a story from Stephen King. It's a pretty good series.

I think y'all might be able to watch the episodes here, if you wanna.....

Watching Trisha Yearwood make a chocolate cake with some red wine. Sounds interesting. Never heard of that one before.

Sounds great to me - red wine pairs well with chocolate!

Yeah red wine with some good quality chocolate is good. Just never seen it in a cake before but it seems like it would be a good pairing.
