No more nights, weekends or holidays. Give them my time and call it a day. I can work three 12 hour days or four 10 hour days. As long as I give them 40 and get results, that is what they should be happy.

Is your health insurance covered as a contractor though ?
I just went from contractor to direct hire, because the benefits package was much better and less expensive as a direct hire. I also plan to get married soon, so there are life events in the way too. I don’t want to pay more to add my future spouse (now GF) to my plan.

I am still a full-time employee. Retirement and health insurance are provided. 20 years of credited service with them.

Congrats Atlguy

On this forum, and most stuff online, and off, and everything really, most days I try to be a little thoughtful in what I say and to meet people somewhere they can be comfortable. If I think someone is sad or pitiful or just really ****ing stupid, someone else will point it out so I try to offer a more generous comment.

Today isn't one of those days.

I’m at the point where I avoid most discussions. I steer clear of comment sections. I lack compassion and it is too easy to be condescending.

If you lip off too much to me at work. Fine, you’ll earn yourself a set of silver bracelets. Or, here is your summons.

It’s Monday morning and the stupid people are are raising my ire. Deep breath, 4020.
