Probably for the best.
The last thing I recommend is a guy being a girlfriend to a girl that he likes, who does not like him back romantically.
And by girlfriend, I mean a guy that a girl treats like one of her female friends or a gay male friend. Someone she has no romantic interest in. That's okay to be friends with women like that if you're a guy, I just don't think it is if you LIKE that girl in a romantic way.
Good luck and find a girl(s) that likes you as more than a friend!
