Guys, in your opinion what do you think makes a difference between whether you would consider a woman "hot' or as I have usually been called, "cute"? I am certainly not saying I am some kind of beauty, but I have been told that I am really cute by others, including my husband. He has always been affectionate and loving and is a great man. Not sure if it matters but he has said that what many would consider traditionally "hot" women aren't attractive. A few examples being Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Kim Kardashian etc.

Just curious what the difference is for men here.
Either way is a compliment..... So I'd be rather happy indeed to be called either! LMAO
As a Brit we don't usually use either word when describing a bird so I might not be the best judge..... But I'll have a go......
I'd guess on the physical attractiveness scale hot is higher than cute, However cute like " awwwww she's so cuuuuute! ".... Probably means more as its a tad deeper and possibly looking past the looks?
Again ^^^^ is probably completely wrong so I apologise and think I'd like to know the difference as well
Btw, the same woman can look cute or hot depending on how shes dressed and made up.
This leads us to the subset (no pun intended) of what I call a "sleeper". One you never knew would clean up so well until you see her that way. Always a pleasant surprise.
"Hot" often equals insecure pain in the butt. Women who are considered "hot" often have to work really hard to maintain that look. Having to maintain this look (the latest fashion, perfect makeup and hair, etc) usually comes from insecurity, which also can manifest in being entitled and self-centered.
Cute often equals quiet confidence and a generally nice person.
I'm like your husband. I will take cute over hot most times.

Your husband thinks you are cute and the opinion of no one else should matter.
Also, there are so many variables with each individual that there is not one standard of measure that can be used to compare one to the other. Comparing one person to another should not be done anyway.
