Do you personally know anyone who's reached a mature age (say 45) who was never had a relationship and/or sex with another person? Excluding people with severe mental and physical disabilities, religious convictions (nuns, priests) and extreme deformities. Especially people who seemed pretty normal but were simply never able to have a proper (more than a few dates) relationship?
I'm not saying 'lifelong virgins' specifically...I'm also interested to hear of those who still had sex (flings, prostitutes) but never had a proper gf/bf or got married.

actually i know a guy who's never had anyone as far as i know. he's a lifelong friend of my older brother. he's 55 years old and as far as i know he's not gay and i KNOW he's never been on a date with a female. i feel real bad for the guy. i think he's just super shy and backward with women and has no idea what to do. i believe he's never even been kissed.

Define "proper gf". By typical society standards I've had two girlfriends. By my standards I've had none. But I've managed to partake in the horizontal mambo a few times and had a fwb situation that was fun and interesting but by no means romantic.
