Being a virgin is not a negative or bad reputation. Being a womanizer, a player, a cheat, a woman beater, a child molester, a murderer.....these are bad reputation. Yours is not bad.

You may need to teach yourself better social skills if you believe your looks aren't cutting it. I've said this before many times on this forum. I'm not the best looking guy among my peers and friends, but I can sure hell talk my way into a lady's heart. You know what works best for me? Be funny and be extremely confident, without being conceited.

Do you think you are coming across as a misanthrope?

Nothing. I've tried to fit in before, but it didn't work. Most people just tell me how weird they think I am.

Most people will think that being a 22 year old virgin must be awful. It's quite an uncommon situation out in the real world. At the very least, that info. will earn me some weird looks and light mockery.

Maybe. I keep out of the way of others, and I expect them to keep out of mine.

Idk. I'm only 22, so I don't know when it became mainstream to bump as preteens.

YES - stay away from that garbage!

That is not bad reputation, it is not on record anywhere. Serving a prison sentence for assault and battery is an example of bad reputation and will decrease your chances with women.

As far as your situation- you need to set realistic expectations of the type of women you will attract at first. The experience you will gain will not be as important as the confidence, which is what you seem to lack for now. Women are just people, if you focus on talking to and dealing with a person, you should eventually be able to talk to women easily. (DISCLAIMER: Just don't do what you do with some of your close male friends, don't punch them on the shoulder as a greeting and don't ask them to pull your finger)
