It's been a couple of months since I've heard of an incident, but darn seem like it happens on a regular basis. Mums and dads of CD, if you found out your 15 year old son was teacher pet, what would you do? Would it be a pat on the back and "atta boy" or would you go after the wench and the school district?
I'd go after them with everything I've got. Teen boys might act tough and shrug it off but I bet when they are in the thick of being manipulated by an adult it doesn't feel so good.
Why do you think it's confined to America? I think it's pretty much a worldwide phenomenon. I think we tend to have more openness in dealing with the subject is all.

I think I would go after the school district big time. For the teacher, I don't its really about sex. I think it is more of a power trip.
I can't see what a grown woman would see in a 15 y/o other then the obvious.
Of course, I remember being fifteen and having the total hots for our German teacher, who allegedly slept with a student who later played for the New York Giants. She was the object of many a fantasy. However, looking at the whole thing like an adult, I'd perform the legal equivalent of burning down the house and shooting the dog.

You're right. It's not confined to the US anymore. I think it works the same way as violence and anything else - the more you show it and talk about it, in more heads the ideas are being planted (even if they were not there previously).
This issue exists all over the world, and has been so, since the beginning of time....
I think these people should be placed under lock and key for the rest of their days, as they are a full blown menace to society....
It is not the schools fault...the blame falls on the actions of the adult who molests a child...any adult...who does this is a very sick person...who really needs to be put away...forever....they cannot be rehabilitated, it has scientifically been studied and proven for years.
