Do you guys know of any people in your family or circle of friends that talk alot. I'm mean the type where you can't get a word in edge wise. I find that to be really boorish behavior and incredibly rude.

Am I being too judgmental or not.

I can't stand constant yappers, either! Of course, there are plenty in the office... Had a RE agent once who was driving me NUTS!

Seems like they enjoy the sound of their own voices and can go on and on and on... ! I don't even know how they take a breath! There's no way in hell I can voluntarily have such a creature around me!

"Boorish" lol. My mom uses that term. Yes, I know a few talkers. And frankly, I can be a talker also when I am excited or enthused about something. But I do try to control my impulses. Otherwise, I'm a very good listener.

UGH!!!

My mother-in law is like this. She even talks in her sleep. She calls us constantly and we avoid picking up the phone now. Even my husband gets annoyed with her talking.

About a year ago my husband was driving her to the airport and there was a terrible storm with tornado watches and warnings. He said the sky was black and the rain was pouring and it was making him nervous to be on the expressway. She kept yapping the whole entire drive (1 1/2 hr)!. I don't even think she realized the weather was bad.

There is also an old work buddy of mine that I only email because she constantly talks/complains.

I have a "friend" that when I call her, she starts talking and talks non-stop for a full 45 minutes.. A very one sided conversation...

I have a DIL (out of state) that calls me twice a month and talks non stop for 2 to 3 hours... Arggggg! The second call is an exact repete of the first call.. andshetalkssofastthatyoucan'tkeepupwiththe conversation! < It really is exactly like that! Another one sided conversation.

And these people KNOW I hate telephones!

I also work with a non stop LOUD, talks over you guy that is a expert on everything!

My youngest son is also a non stop talker. His conversations are either to brag, brag, brag or the "poor me, you'll never guss what happened NOW!" kind.

What is with this anyway? Is two way conversations a thing of the past?
