I hate the angle shot. If the only picture a woman will show is one where she's holding the camera over her head and looking up, I just assume she weighs at least 200 pounds.

It seems clearer and clearer to me that a lot of girls (not all, because some have posted to the contrary) don't want to fess up about their power advantages over guys in general in the US.

This comes off of the prositution thread a little... i.e. countries like germany where prositution has been legal for years..

(it's like the internet porn, craigs list casuals, is like the truth,
but everyone lives a lie during the day) the hypocrisy is intoxicating

Some guys on here 'think' they are picking up girls. Nope.
Women are making that decision. Always have.

You see, when guys who just want sex (and believe me there are plenty of them) realize that prostitution, casual ecounters etc. is a healthy answer. A huge negative rift and social power imbalance between the sexes in the US will just dissappear. It would be simple. Guys would know where to go to get it without shame attatched or other legal negative consequences. (notice all the shame she attached to the dude 'insane!') And women would not be able to call these naturally horny men all the endless belittling crap just because they are normal healthy men who simply want to have sex.

but this post won't change anything , women will still continue bashing guys for being guys 'dogs' as they put it in the US, and men will continue being belittled and will spew idealized crap about how to meet women etc. etc. as an effort to save face when the fact is is that they were lucky to be 'chosen' by their girlfriend

Dudes, wake up

yes yes yes, flames i know

Very true. Although guys have performed the angle shot as well.

I would never touch the "Casual encounters" section (even though many have ads in both places...) not because I'm exactly against casual encounters per se but because it's disgusting. I can’t even imagine the thought processes in the heads of men who think that posting pictures of their private parts would attract any woman even for a one-night stand… Dear Lord, do you think any of them get responses? Sometimes when I’m in a crowd (like a city fair last weekend) it hits me that some of these sickos are actually around me looking like regular people. Reminds me of the movie "They live"...

I take a look sometimes at the other section and I believe there are some OK people on craigslist like on any dating site. They are like needles in the hay, but the writing of the most normally is so bad that you can easily weed out 95%. I don't really consider craigslist any more dangerous than other online ways of meeting people. Some time recently somebody had posted a warning about a guy who is on other dating sites (I've seen him on match) and is also on the city map of sex offenders...

I do a great deal of business on CR selling excess of my products and such. You get a lot of idiots. For all the intelligence I can muster up I can not figure out why people will write you a whole story of questions to your ad, you give the answers and they disapear from humanity. Or you write back and forth for a week before they disapear. Then there are the ones who say they are coming but never do.

Beware ! There are people who answer items for sale ads just because they are lonely and want to chat with some one. This is true.

As for the CL job postings. Most are fake. What they are is email fishing ads. The most popular ones now are the Poker Player Wanted or the Disney Movie Extras wanted. These seem to get flagged off pretty fast but not before some people fall for it. You answer the ad and never hear again. All they want is your email, nothing else. There never was a job, they are fishing for emails. Your ligit emails are sold for as little as 10 cents per hundred emails to as much as 10 cents a piece to spammers. When your email cross refferences with an known email that has purchased anything on line, your email will be worth 10 cents. Multiply that by millions of emails.

The erotic listings are dangerous too. Not so much from ax murderers and rapist but something far worse. The cops. They have no crimes to fight so they place fake ads trying to ENTRAP both sexes trying to negotiate a legal act being sex. You can buy a girl dinner in exchange for sex but dont give her money for it.

Then you have the apartment for rent scams on CL. With all the foreclosed empty homes, a scammer will break in to a home, change the locks, advertise house for rent, you go, you like it, and you give him a cash depost plus the one months rent. He disapears with your money. Nice easy money.

2 monthis ago CL started charging for all job postings, this did get rid of all the spam. But for reasons unexplained, they only do this for major cities. So the scammers, Con Artists, and Crooks continue to post in the small city forums.

BE CAREFULL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, go ahead sierra bash bash bash.. have you ever thought of becoming a prostitute? I think you would be so relieved of your negativity. You'd make lots of money, and you wouldn't have to try soooooo hard to be so self righteous and put men down.

or are you just afraid of guys having alternative options-- other BETTER options other than YOU!

I'm not buying - Spill! That has to be wierd- how does the whole situation start- You meet in public, or private ? You knock on the door, "Hi, I'm here to bang your brains out" ???
