How do you feel about being busy? Do you like to be "crazy busy" as so many people are these days? Or do you prefer a slower pace?
I think I prefer a slower pace myself. I don't like having a lot of things on my plate at the same time. I am trying to juggle full-time grad school and part-time work right now, and am finding it difficult to do so, along with spending time with my husband and keeping house, doing errands and chores. I feel exhausted a lot of the time and wake up feeling un-refreshed. I also don't like not having much down time.
I actually like being busy and consumed by work. It keeps my mind off other things, and I use it as an excuse to not be social sometimes... and blame it for me not having a gf .
I tend to work better in intense bursts. That might be because it's very hard to write for long periods of time and remain focused. That's why I'm on here a lot. I'll post, then write like a manic for an hour or two or four, then post some more while I take a break from it.
Do any of you work a job where instead of a weekend you have two days off during the week? And not consecutive days.
I did when I worked as a reported. Boy, I hated that. It's just one of many reasons why I decided to punt journalism as a career. And given how newspapers are all teetering on the edge, I'm glad I did.
