I actually even put that on my tax return one year, where it asks for your occupation on the form. As far as the IRS knows, I've also been a goatherder, *** shearer, heretic, false prophet, pole sitter, and beetle rancher as occupations. I suspect if I ever get audited they won't be amused.
When I was 22 and working at the hospital, one of the male nurses started telling us about how he used to work on the barges on the Mississippi River--he said sometimes women went along as cooks and I wanted to do that really bad--the pay is good and you work 1 month on and 1 month off. It's just as well I never did it though--the men can be pretty rough and I was a young lady then. Now I'm an old lady so maybe it's time to revive my dream.

LMAO!!!!! Shape Shifter,Strawberry Picker and Freelance Gynecologist were the only ones I've ever used on applications for jobs I couldn't care less if I got in the first place(union trademan, but I still had to fill out apps to get my "Ployment" check in the winter).....I may try that on the State of Illinois this year if I get my nerve up

They still hire every day Stepka....many folks around here still work the barges and seem to be satisfied doing it and they make decent money too.
The craziest job I wanted to do when I was younger?
Well I am doing it now.
