Nah. One person can walk out and the marriage is done. Doesn't matter what the other one thinks or wants. Once one quits, you're done. Doesn't matter how they justify that. Or even if they do justify that. Many a marriage has ended when one person didn't want to end it but the other did.

I agree. One person can take the action to end a marriage, sure. But most often than not, the cause is something the other spouse shares in or has sole responsibility for. Someone can physically walk out of the marriage, but there is usually a reason for that. Even if it is the wrong one, even if they were mistaken in their assessment of the other's actions/inaction. But I don't think people just wake up one morning and say they're done.

Did you work your way OUT of it...
meaning did you do WHATEVER it takes to try to NOT get divorced....
