I don't want to offend anyone here but I while I consider myself to be on the smarter side. It seems to me like all of the really smart people are kind of boring, not having much of a sense of humor. I know I'm generalizing but there is in my opinion some merit to what I'm saying.

I think comedians are smart people too, if you really think about it. They make all kinds of observation and put different and funny spins on how the world and or situations appear.

I know I just contradicted myself.

I know a lot of people at MENSA and have been invited to join; however, I declined after I found out there are dues. I was not about to pay money to hang out with nerds.

There are no secret 'Mason-like' meetings. In fact, one of my friends (not Mensa) sometimes goes to the meetings and parties and has dated a few of the guys there.

Oh, and based on how many atheists there are amongst my friends in the group, I doubt christianity is a big part of the organization.

Interestingly, almost all the folks I have met from the local group here have screwy personalities.

Then again, lots of people have screwy personalities.

If you ever smoked dope and sat around eating Coco puffs, drinking grape soda and philosophizing about smurfs, blackholes and spongebob, you've been to the equivalent of a Mensa meeting.
