Well, I'm only a continent/culture-biased and I second what she says. In the pre-Internet era US used to be quite alluring because people abroad didn't have a clue about what life here really was about (raising hand as one of the idiots who moved here on this account). The horrific foreign policy and taking away the freedoms of its own citizens and the crumbling of the economy coupled with the now widely available info about the true state of affairs has brought the US stock way down in the past decade even in the places it used to do OK.
In other words, US men should no longer think they’re considered all that and a bag of chips by women abroad, unless we’re talking absolutely destitute countries. Many men here have a standard of living well below the standard of living of the women in the former USSR and the rest of the Eastern bloc. Coincidentally, those often are the ones making fun of these women.
Tossing on a par of sweat pants really doesn't help either. I also live in an above average part of the country so it just seems like every other person. A place like Colorado might be better.
