I was curious if anyone here has dated someone they were attracted to, partially, because of their accent. A few yrs ago, I dated someone who was raised in Australia. I absolutely loved the accent, and although that was not the sole reason I dated them, it was a factor in why I was attracted to them. My roommate and I would sometimes listen to his voice mails and squeal like teenagers, I was smitten. Btw, I am not normally a flaky person but that accent made me melt. Anyone else experience this too?

I cant imagine anyone dating someone because of their accent. They better have a helluva lot more going for them than just an accent.
I think accents add to the person's overall attractiveness but in no way does it "make them attractive" enough to date because of it.
Ive dated some women with sexy accents but those accents went along with some very sexy bodies and faces which is why I dated them. There was a French girl, two Persian girls, of course my Russian wife, and another chick who was Romanian.

It is by no means just the accent.....but to some females its hot.
Same to us males as well. Accents are definitely hot (well, some are).
There is a couple of accents that just sound awful to me. Not trying to be harsh, but damn, shut the hell up.
