I heard this on the radio this morning on the way to work and thought I would pose the question to my fellow CD'ers.
Let's say you're dating someone and you're going over to their place for the first time. What are some things that would be a turn off for you to see at the person's place?
Would you continue to date the person after seeing their place depending on what you saw?
Dirty dishes in the kitchen sink. But dirty laundry not so much, especially if the underwear is showing on the laundry basket, I might pick it up and smell it.
Drug paraphernalia and empty beer bottles strewn about.
Place looks like a tornado went through it. I don't mind a place looking lived in, but not like a disaster area.
Too many pets, and the place smelling like a pet shop.
Bug infested...though that wouldn't be a deal breaker, but I wouldn't be hanging out at her place again.
LOL...that reminds me of an episode on "Everybody Loves Raymond" when Robert went to his date's place for the first time and her room was filled with frogs...hundreds of live ones in tanks/cages.....he got outta there quick!

LOL I remember that one. She ate a fly at dinner and raymond saw it.
- dirty house or clutter bug - I am not fixing what your mom should of
- used condom wrappers or female's clothing
- creepy porn like "barely legal" etc
- savage porn collection bigger than a comic book dorks comic collection
- pic of the ex on crap, letters from them or any of the sort
- stacks of collection letters in the mail pile
- massive medicine collection - pharma or herbal
- everything being broken or run down (you can have old stuff and clean it up so it looks alright )
- holes in the wall or any other anger examples
- poor pet care or child care
- glares from the neighbors
I would definitely be turned off if her place smelled like one big litter box and I've actually experienced that. My Mother has cats but her house never smells bad from them so it's not that I don't like cats.
Another thing I find irritating for some reason are women who collect tons of cutesy knick knack stuff and have it all over the house. It just strikes me as something that a child would enjoy instead of an adult woman. It would be like a grown man collecting toy firetrucks and then breaking out a fireman's hat when he plays with them.
But dirty laundry not so much, especially if the underwear is showing on the laundry basket, I might pick it up and smell it.
Well, if she caught you doing that I suspect that your first visit to her place would be a very short one.
