my fiance got arrested on an outstanding warrant from another state. Does anyone know how long they can keep you in custody. How long does the state that issued the warrant have to extridite?
It's going to depend on the charge, if it's a traffic warrent bo big deal but I doubt thats the case, criminal warrent he'll stay in jail until the judge decides to extradite him or not

To be extriditable across state lines, it has to be a felony charge. If he waives extridition it will speed things up. In theory he can be kept until the extridition hearing, and the originating jurisdiction picks him up. After transportation he will be afforded the opportunity to post bond.
And make sure he clears up/pays fines/what ever before you go marrying this guy.
Absolutely. My friend is from the phillipines and married a guy that had just gotten out of jail for multiple DUI. She didn't know he wouldn't be able to drive for like 4 years. And she didn't know how to drive. You bet she had to learn, AND FAST!! It was Florida for goodness sake, it's not like there's a subway or something.
This is a question for a local attorney. If you can't afford one, it is likely you can get some general information from (a) the courthouse clerk, or (b) the local bail bondsman.
No two issues will be the same!
Good luck!

U may want to contact the juridiction where the warrant originated. A lot of this kind of information is public record and depending on the state the records maybe accessed from the the state's web site. U may be able to get limited information by phone if u contact that jurisdiction. I am reasonably sure in such cases they can hold u as long as they want to in a manner of speaking. U should tell him to peitition the court for a public defender if he cannot afford an attorney. Good luck
