A countries people need to fight their own fights...
Who said anything about us getting involved? This is an opinion message board. The very least we could do if we're going to respond to a post about another country's government being, well, evil, is say "Ermm, they shouldn't do that". To say stuff like "It's none of our business" implies we shouldn't care at all, and I will never get on board with that.
Hard for me to have much sympathy. You live in a country that grants massive power to a religious court. And this is the type of thing that can happen.

There is no law requiring circumcision in Israel, but the vast majority of Jewish boys
undergo the procedure at the age of eight days in line with Jewish law, which
sees the ritual as upholding a covenant with God.
My question for this woman is if she's doing this because she is against following the Jewish tradition of circumcision in relation to the covenant or is she using the child as a bargaining tool during her divorce. And the courts decision is based on her trying to get better terms in her divorce.
A major conference between the Catholic Church and leading Jewish representatives in Madrid called Thursday for both communities to support efforts at ending anti-Christian persecution and anti-Semitism in the Middle East and Europe.
The conference also expressed alarm over recent initiatives in Europe to ban male religious circumcision and ritual animal slaughter, which, if passed, would make observant Jewish and Muslim life next to impossible.
An overwhelming majority of off topic posts have had to be deleted. This one's done, folks. Sorry.
