How so? It was pointed out numerous times in this thread (and practically everywhere you look, if you have your eyes open) that the name was superimposed over a very popular time for a bunch of pagan rituals that took place at that time and that the name was given by Christian Rome.

I could see an argument if the OP said that December 25th isn't a Christian holiday, but Christmas? Christmas is certainly a Christian holiday no matter which day it is celebrated, December 25th, or or January 1st.

It's quite obvious that by "Christmas," we are all referring to how it is generally celebrated today...not as a date on the Christian calendar with a quiet mass observance. If you missed that, you really do have your eyes closed. I mean get real already.

So is Halloween a Christian holiday since it has a Christian root too? (All hallow's eve'n)?
