C'mon up here to Canada. We're a quaint, fun-loving, and eminently sensible people. We've allowed same-sex marriage for a few years now and last I checked, society hasn't crumbled.
Preacher, I find it interesting that you make the following statement of complete ignorance about why same sex partners are working to obtain the rights granted solely by marriage.
So I can only assume that you missed by willfully ignoring a list of rights that can only be granted through marriage. Why, because it shows how wrong you, and how it shows how blind and misguided your superstition based hatred is?
So in case you missed it, I'll post it again, care to address these issues, or is it too awkward.
There are a great many 'four letter words' that are not allowed on these forums, but one that some find very offensive and would probably wish to have censored, even banned. Oh you wonder what the word is?

FACT
For many of them, you can have a lawyer write up a contract. For the rest of them, I honestly don't care. It's not a marriage.
Gays can't get married to the same sex i.e the ones that they fall in love with. I believe that's something that a gay man such as myself can't do legally.
Marriage to the person you love has NEVER been a guaranteed right.
Do you support the marriage of a man to his mother? Or 2 sisters?
Thankfully the courts and a large % of the population disagree with you.
Then let the people vote. In most cases when the people vote, marriage wins. For the most part, the only time same-gender "marriage" gets pushed through it's because of a power-grabbing court system.
According to the law it IS a marriage in 19 states and counting.
At least according to some judges. Where the people have actually voted, they don't agree.
