But they are not being put out of business for that. They are being put out of business for failing to follow the same law that all other businesses have to follow.

I may disagree with such laws, and I do on many levels, but it IS the law. And they should therefore be prosecuted under it just as hard as if they had refused to participate in the marriage of a black man to a white woman.

You Jeff and others want to put a propaganda spin on it that they are being abused of their moral rights for refusing to engage with homosexual marriage, but the reality is they are being prosecuted under a general law that applies to everyone. So the propaganda narrative you want to sell simply fails.

Why grow tired of discussing something that should be celebrated? Marriage equality is a wonderful accomplishment for our country.

BTW, most of the gay threads here have been created by the pro-gay crowd.
Only Christian groups that accept college resources to run their organizations. If they don't accept funding, then they don't have to follow the non-discrimination rules. In fairness, remember that a Christian can also run for an executive position in the GLBT organizations.

Thirteen if you count this one.

Those same companies are forced to serve me, a "sinful" Jew who will never accept their messiah, just as they are forced to serve others on a one-way trip to "hell" like Muslims, Hindus, atheists, and other denominations of Christianity. We all go against their religion. Why is it so much worse to serve the GBLTQ community?

It's not about the person they're serving. You do get that, right? This is an issue of forcing a person to participate in an event they consider immoral. Just as we should not require you, a Jew, to cater a Nazi rally, we should not require a Christian to cater a gay wedding.

How are you being forced to serve anyone. You can refuse to serve anyone you want as long as you don't say "I refuse to serve you because you are ______" which would be considered discrimination. If a homosexual couple asks you to officiate their wedding, you can simply say that date is taken.

No one is forcing you to do anything. Your whine is simply a whine and has no merit.

There is no participation. A baker bakes a cake, takes the money for services rendered, end of story.

If you assert the claim that a commercial transaction is equivalent to participating in something else because the goods are used, that immediately makes society unworkable.

Can a grocer refuse to sell food to a Moslem because it will be eaten in an Islamic celebration?

Can a miner refuse to mine silver ore, because it will be smelted into a communion chalice?

Can a farmer refuse to butcher a cow because the hide will be turned into leather, which will be formed into bondage gear and be used in a BDSM party?

Should teachers refuse to educate Christian children because they will use that education to read the bible and spread their religion?
