On the Ark Encounter Exposed Facebook they state that Ken Hamm has claimed that 25000 have gone through the gates in the first five days. It states that 8000 were given free two days passes so they subtracted the 2 times 8000 from the 25000 coming up with only an average of 3000 per day.

The site makes an assumption that all 8000 free passes were used and that each of the 8000 did attend both days. I think it unlikely that all 8000 showed up for their free passes or that all those who did were able to attend both days. I also find the 25000 over 5 days to be questing blessed simply as it is too smooth of a number but that is just me looking at estimates of numbers, I am sure there is a clicker somewhere counting each persons entrance.

The Facebook site is against the project so take whatever they say with a questioning mind.

Let's see...a one day adult entrance to Disneyland is $105. A one day adult entrance to Ham's ark is $40. Disneyland has multiple rides, shows and attractions included in the price of admission. Ham has plastic dinosaurs, pitiful animatronics and an additional fee for a ride on the zip line.

It will be a failure not because of what anyone wants, but because it is an overpriced walk through a giant warehouse.

BTW: Disneyland is about 10 miles from the blimp hangers which are twice the size of the Ham's ark. I've been in the blimp hangers. They are HUGE. And not nearly big enough to hold two of every animal on Earth as told in the Bible story.
If you want rides, go to an amusement park. This attraction is more equivalent to going to an art museum. You go to appreciate the scale and see in person how the ark looked.

Live in KY... no public funds were used. Munie bonds and private donations....

And, in all honesty, most people here only had passing knowledge the thing was open. Wasn't on the news all week (nope, just typical thunderstorms).

What has been on the news all week is a huge weekend long concern in Louisville called Forecastle.

Why get worked up in arms over some guy building a silly boat when there are way more interesting things to follow.

It would be interesting if near the dinos that there would be a place of massive damage, like dino teeth had been used to chew through what proves to be an empty section where other large modern (in the age of Mammels) used to be, but all that's left is a bit of ganrled bone. Maybe a clearly human body part or two also. And signs saying 'Do not remove your safety gear in the predator section."

They could do a gave for the kids where they all hid and saw if they did it well enough the velocoraptors didn't find them.

Of course Velocoraptors are the star of the show.

The facts of the purported flood show it's impossible, so building an "attraction" dedicated to it is just a scam. I hope Kenny uses the money to go home.

The people who believe that are the marks Ham is looking for. I'll bet he lives in a real nice house.

Jeff, take off your apologist blinders.

He used the media/VIP picture and pretended it was the opening day crowd. That is lying and that is deceitful. It is the same garbage Scientology tries to pull off regularly. Or do you consider his actions the epitome of honesty and forthrightness?

You have to live here to fully understand it, but this is just the way the people who live here are used to things being done. They have been conditioned not to expect anything different.

God, i wish I was a con artist, as long as I'm living here anyway. I'd be a millionaire by the end of next month.
And I guess the bigger the lie, the bigger the acceptance of it. Sort of like a Trumpism, I take it.

Yeah, but then you'd have to live inside Cupper's mind. Ever see the movie "The Cell?"

LOL... can't imagine my synapse sequence could easily be followed by many. I scare myself sometimes.

He gets about as much run in this state as Bellarmine Basketball does nationally.

Never heard of them? Same with most KY residents haven't heard of him (since half the pop lives in the Louisville Metro).

Those paying attention to him must actually LOOK for this stuff to get upset about. On an ironic note.... I wonder if the boat floats? We've gotten so much rain the last 2 weeks, it would be a good idea. lol

I am not sure it is scientific to make the claim that it always be impossible to create life from organic chemicals.

Does the Ark Encounter have a display showing that this is impossible. I did see where there is a display dismissing climate change. I guess the theme park is based on Hamm's personal views of science and not just the flood story, unless I am incorrect as I don't want to thread on the toes of a theologian and speak outside my expertise. Does the Bible make any claim that putting stuff in the atmosphere will never affect that atmosphere? How about putting stuff in water, does it affect the water?

To all, other than the initial report where there lots of reviews of the Ark and I'd so will they affect it positively or negatively?
Abiogenisis may not be a theory yet, but it is a viable hypothesis. RNA already has been created in the lab.

From the article:

The researchers, at the Scripps Research Institute, created molecules that self-replicate and even evolve and compete to win or lose. If that sounds exactly like life, read on to learn the controversial and thin distinction.
