After scamming the Kentucky taxpayer out of over $18 million for a tax incentive to help fund the hugely overpriced $100 million dollar project by promising it would bring 2 million visitors a year, each who pay $40 to enter the 'Ark", only about 4,000 showed up on opening day, many as VIP invitees.
Oooopps. Guess Ken Ham didn't pray enough.
The pictures tell it all, most taken early to mid afternoon.

That was funded with public monies? How the hell ... ?!!!
Still, 4000 on day one is OK. It would need to have impressed them to start a word of mouth advertising thing. The metal tubing animal pens don't impress me much.
Random Factors would appear to have operatedeth in our favor. Still. Early days. The millions of believers may feel it their duty to go visit, since for this to fail would mean that God didn't exist .. I mean..ahh it looked like he didn't...
I like the pictures though. Especially the lighting, and the polished floors. It might be useful for hiring out for venues.
So many ways these "Christians" could have invested their $100 million, which would actually relieve the suffering of their fellow man. Isn't the main teaching of their Christ to love your neighbor and do good to those that are in need? But instead they spent the money on an overpriced pointless display and a gigantic parking lot. That thing does not even have any artistic value. And then they wonder why people worldwide consider Americans to be overindulged, fat hedonists.

More "Crowds"
Boy you really have some thing against Ken Ham. It was a work day, you know.

I agree that I wouldn't project demand based on first day sales necessarily, but normally if there is a huge pent-up demand for something like this, the opening gala reflects that. If I were an investor, I'd be deeply uneasy.

Atheists are such hypocrites. You accuse Christians of improperly spending money yet Atheists spend tons of money on billboards around the country making fun of God and the Bible.

If you ask me, the latter is just as much stupidity as the Ark museum. But hey, the Federal Reserve can always print more money.

I didn't ask you.
