You're absolutely right, none of us are descendants of monkeys.
We are descendants of a common ancestor sometime in the past. The monkeys branched off one way, and us apes another. You do understand what DNA is, right? No belief needed. It is a fact.
To bad you don't have some real scientific date to support that opinion. IMO, you do not understand DNA. Unless ape DNA and human DNA is the same, you don't understand it at all. A scientist can take DNA and not knowing its source can tell you if it comes from an ape or a human.

What you seem to be missing is that they can also show you where they are the same and how and where they differ.....which would be consistent with divergence from a common ancestor.

Of course he can. And do you know why? Or do you need to be educated in that? (waiting to see which Slick/Creationist story will come next, as we've heard them all.)

Of course I know why. Man did not evolve from apes or the DNA would verify the connection. l It seems you have let your obvious bias keep you from understanding DNA.
No story needed. God put DNA in almost every living thing in a way that all living things could be separated from other living things.
That is a man-made, necessary classification made by evolutionists which DNA refutes.
