If I didn't believe in some type of discerning I wouldn't see a difference between the saying humans are fundamentally good or fundamentally flawed. In fact, there are people on this board that don't see the difference between someone lying to save face and harming a child because sin is sin and we are all sinners so how dare I call out that pedo.

I'm not New Age but it seems humanists appear to be New Age to non humanists. There is no woowoo needed to have respect for your fellow man or yourself for that matter.

I only went back a couple pages, but I didn't see where you and I were discussing, I was just responding to Trogs post above, didn't have anyone in mind, it was a generality about what is going on in Christendom.

Anyway, with respect to this post and from my point of view: no, humanists appear to have New Age beliefs when what comes out of their mouths lines up with it. I read probably everything that existed pertaining to it in my time, before I found the Lord, for a time period of about 15 years. It was the closest to a religion I got in all that time, and make no mistake, it is a religion in it's own right. And so, I recognize clearly the sound that particular serpent nature makes, it had be "hypnotized" for over a decade.

And the newborn is not sinful because it was born human, it has a principality called sin in it, passed down from generation to generation, the truth of which is shown by the newborn's ability to die, death being the wages of sin. Peace

We weren't. I took issue with the way you framed the viewpoint of the belief system you disagree with.

Just for educational purposes, if you are purporting to quote someone but adding your own words, your own words are in [brackets]. Your "quotation" of my post is not in fact a quotation of my post.

Just for educational purposes it is well-known that elipsese (...) indicate deleted words and parentheses ( ) indicate an opinion of a summarized message.

Check with a mod if you are having trouble with this.

I was responding to a poster that claimed god was not violent. And, to the biblical fact that he does not consider all humans his children.
