There are atheist in fox holes. But when death is starring you in the face while you can do absolutely nothing about it, "if you are there ..." is a reasonable statement. But when you stand up and look around, there are no safe spots based on what turtle one asked for help from.

What is unreasonable is to claim, after the event, that it had to do with "my turtle only".

But during the two world wars there were tens of thousands of dead, dying, and suffering christian soldiers in foxholes whose praying left them dead, dying, and suffering.
