I can go along with that, Ruth. Bottom line, the missionary do-gooders should stay out of other people's backyards and stick with people who want them around. But it all goes back to that phony verse Mark 16:18 that corrupt churchmen added, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel".

Why do you think they added a promise that nothing would harm believers in Jesus that they knew Jesus could not keep? Was it to lure people into joining Christianity on the false promise Jesus would protect them from danger if they did join? What other reason could the church men have had for adding such a dumb thing to Mark's gospel?

I am always fascinated by those who, while affirming that they don't believe in religion, are the most vocal and strident in their challenges.

Why does someone care about another's beliefs?

Irrefutable and undeniable? Hogwash and horsefeathers!

Is Christianity incapable of standing up to challenges? If Christianity is the true religion of God then it can answer ANY challenge put to it, correct?

Please notice: NOBODY is addressing the issue I presented in my OP--presumably because they aren't capable of giving a believable response.

Poor Horn. Would you care to try to answer my question:

When God's missionaries desperately need money to spread the gospel of Jesus, why does God allow a fun-seeking hedonist to win the $2 Billion Powerball? Why not a Christian who could do God's work with it?

See Horn.
See Horn run.
Run. Run. Run.

The OP can continue these rants but there is no reason to ever reply and address his posts.

Believing is all that is necessary for religions to flourish and spread.

Proof is only needed or demanded by non-believers. And believers don't need non-believers.

Do you use a friend's Netflix account on the basis he said it was okay to do? You committed a crime, albeit unwittingly. That doesn't absolve you of the penalty the law will impose if you're caught. Good luck trying to convince the judge you didn't know it was a crime.

Christians are doing the same thing.

What's your thoughts about why churchmen added mark 16:18 to the text?
Would using a friends Netflix account be a crime to God though?
Or slightly over-exaggerating your expenses on your tax return?
Yes it’s dishonest, but it’s commonplace.
American Christian Missionary John Chau also broke Indian territory laws, when he tried to arrive on North Sentinel Island. (only to be met by a hail of arrows)
But are these Godly laws?

Romans 13 1
"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

If the law says it's a crime then God commands Christians to obey it. So it must be a sin if they don't.

As Ruth4Truth said, missionaries should stay out of other people's hostile territories and let them worship their gods in their own way. John Chau got what was coming to him. I did a whole thread on John Chau some time ago.
