June can't speak as regards any aspects of any actions or marketing campaigns (refer to OP) that may or may not be deemed "sacriligious," but this much June does know:
She has changed her mind as regards the lawn mowing issue. She would absolutely, positively "convert" if anyone, anything could get her to quit smoking. Unconditionally. Without question. You name it. Short of joining a convent, June's there.
Well, I don't think the ashtray itself is sacreligious; in fact I find it to be quite religious and typical. However, I get the idea behind it. I suppose to a believer that putting cigarette butts out on Jesus' face would be a moment to sit back and think.
I'm with Weather, I think it is tacky..But, on the other hand if a persons spouse smokes around the children, I would have no qualms about putting the kids picture there as a last resort to shame him into quitting...
June, one more time girl, first limit the amount of cigs you go through daily..Smoke outdoors only, even in the cold snowy wintertime I quit in less than a week with the prescription Chantix, and I smoked a half pack a day for almost forty years
However, I get the idea behind it. I suppose to a believer that putting cigarette butts out on Jesus' face would be a moment to sit back and think.
Don't you have to prove 1st that it actually is Jesus' face?
We have no idea how Jesus actually looks like.
Just because most Christians believe that Jesus is a white guy doesn't mean that he was.
And who knows, Jesus might even have approved to putting his face in ashtrays if it would help people quit smoking.
I mean so what if people mocked Jesus, wouldn't he just have turned the other cheek?
(June can't take Chantix, and she has tried everything.)
No hope for June.
Poor June.
