This is nothing; all you did was identify yourself as an online poker professional. Let others here on C-D find out about your ethnicity, religion, sexual preference, political affiliation--you haven't even scratched the surface of scary.
If I recall This Old Thread correctly, the overwhelming response was advice to mind one's own business.
if you are in a modern christian household, the guy next door on the internet is the least of your problems.

If it is really bothering you YOU should go and have a loving conversation with him about the pitfalls. Personally I am not a big fan of government intervention but individual intervention by ones peers or neighbors is being loving and responsible. By the way sinners sin that's what they do - if you really want to solve the problem share the gospel with him. Otherwise let it alone and pray for him and his family.
Recently I've discovered that my neighbor gambles illegally online. I feel like I should report this to the authorities, however, my wife feels that it is none of our business.
I'm a Christian and morally opposed to gambling and feel it's a waste of money, however it comes down to personal choice. If you want to fly out to Vegas and throw away your money that is your decision.
Yes, you're a Christian, and a nosy neighbor. Let it go. Its none of your business.
The state authorities have no real way to monitor internet activity (of that nature), that falls more into the FBI's area, so the gambling law may only apply to casinos and real gambling activity (with real dice, cards, etc) that they can track down and stop. Online gambling is more like a video game. There'd have to be actual money changing hands, as well and are his partners even in the same state or country as him? See its waay too complicated.
I'm not sure if online gambling and actual gambling for real are under the same legal umbrella though, since its on a computer. Kids can be exposed to anything on a computer that has nothing to do with what their parents do.
Internet laws and real life laws aren't in the same category.
Is it costing you any money??????
Is your safety being violated????
Is anyone being hurt besides maybe the neighbors bank account???
Mind your own business.
Be more concerned about the person on the cell phone in the car behind you on the road.
You sound like a busy body who needs to look for bigger fish to fry.
I don't gamble, but I'm glad you ain't my neighbor. I would tell you where to go real quick because you sound like the type of person who thinks you are perfect and is so absorbed with finding faults in others that you have forgot that you may not be absolutely perfect yourself.
I'm fairly certain this thread was started as a joke.
Considering his screen name and the fact that he's NOT a Bush supported, let's try and keep that in mind.
I'm inclined to just close it.....but let's let it die anyway.
