oh by the way the bible tells us to listen to civil laws (man made) and if u don't that is a sin.
Some state laws follow you into bedrooms where no victim is found.
Stupid laws should be fought and or ignored. Ie. Prohibition. No gay rights.
God's so called laws of how to treat women Gays and slaves are stupid. They to should be faught and or ignored.
Hell, he even tells us what to eat and when to cut off foreskin. Stupid.
Maturation . . . all life proceeds under that requirement . . . what is so confusing about it? Saplings do not perform like mighty oaks.
Then if we are to be maturing evil into good, what was wrong with those millions, including children and babies, that God drowned with his genocidal flood in Noah's day?
The basic christian concept seems to be: You have free will, but if you use it, you'll go to hell.
Mostly the christians can't differentiate between choice and ultimatum.
Disobeying the country's laws has consequences. But it's very unlikely anyone will receive the death sentence for minor infractions such as shoplifting or driving 10 MPH over the speed limit.
God's system is entirely different, the punishment does not fit the crime. This idea has been mentioned countless times in the forum. I guess that the christians still don't grasp this.
If your child arrived late for school 3 consecutive days, would you:
- punish by no TV for a week.
- rub bleach in his eyes and chop his arm off at the shoulder.
- chain your child to the basement furnace for the next 5 years.
- force your child to drink a gallon of Drano.
Take your choice! If you opted for the first one, you can't be a god!

It may be that Christians who believe in hell just like to hate the others or they all suffer from Stockholm syndrome.
wow you ppl have problems oh we grasp it its just that YOU CANT! we do not "hate" anyone you stupid fool. when i said obey civil laws i did not mean ALL of them. (never argue with a stupid idiot such as greatest i am, tkramar, visvaldis) we don't believe we know.
Hey, iColt...I happen to believe in God and the possibility of redemption. It's just that nothing more than belief is necessary to gain that redemption.
