Christian or not, I would make homosexual sex illegal.
If people would do it and keep it in the bedroom, then they wouldn't get caught and could keep on sinning and "not hurting anyone" (as I hear many times as the reason to allow imorality). But if it came out into the public, on T.V. in the news, then it can then be put to a trial by a judge.

I don't believe that for an instant....It is because you are a Christian that you make such a bigoted statement.

Shall we also make it illegal for two consenting adults, (one male, one female), to live together, without benefit of a contract? Should unmarried people be arrested, and tried, for having sex in the backseat of a car, or in a motel room? Should those who engage in adultery be arrested? These are all forms of sexual conduct that are also officially condemned by the church, and yet all are fairly open, out in public, on television, and in the news. Should they all be "put to a trial by a judge"?
If we made all sexual conduct illegal, outside of that between a married man and woman, our jails and prisons would be mighty full, and that would include a lot of Christians, who have engaged in sexual behavior not approved of by Judeo-Christian teachings. Frankly, I don't know too many Christians who can truthfully hold their head up, and proudly state that they've never engaged in sex outside the confines of a "one man/one woman" marriage. Before we start condemning one particular group of people for their sexual conduct, it would behoove us to give prudent thought as to whether our own sexual behaviour would stand up under close scrutiny. I don't imagine too many Christians would want the government in their bedroom, and I believe it's hypocritical for so many of them to want that same government in someone else's bedroom.
I realize we've had a ton of threads regarding homosexuality but I'd like to ask a question that I don't think I've read on any of those threads. Many years ago a homosexual act was illegal in many states and gradually those laws were either not enforced or were overturned by the Courts. I can recall an interview with a man in California who was associated with an extremely anti-gay group who supported the concept of not only making it illegal to engage in same sex activity but to also make it a crime that could result in the death penalty. Of course even the most right wing fundamentalists would probably not go that far but I'm wondering what those of you who are opposed to homosexuality would actually do in terms of legislation if you had the power to do so. In many Islamic nations people who are caught engaging in same sex activities can be sent to prison. So my question is this, just how far would your anti-gay point of view go if you were able to force your will on society? Would you make homosexual sex illegal, send people to prison, or would you simply be satisfied that gays and lesbians can't get married in most states?
Legislating what consenting adults can or can't do in the bedroom? Absolutely not.

Two questions come up in response to your post. The first question I would ask you is what legal consequences do you think would be appropriate for someone who engages in homosexual activity? Do you think they should be put in jail?
The second question is to ask you how the sexual activities of consenting adults are hurting society in any manner and why the government should even be involved in such personal matters as sexual orientation?
I can't say that I've known very many gay people personally but I was acquainted with several gay coworkers in my career and became very good friends with a woman who eventually told me she was a lesbian. She's a very decent and caring person who wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone. The idea of punishing her because of her natural sexual desires I find to be barbaric.
