The title is the title of a book which refutes Darwinian religion. Darwin had only a BA in Theology [which he certainly did not believe the foundation of, anyway], and wrote an anti-God, racist, book, which was accepted by the ignorant ,Christ rejecting, Word of God rejecting, masses. Even though it was not based upon true science and has been proven wrong, the ignorant still bow at Darwin's feet and adulate the ill educated man. -Why do they?

Many men of greater intelligence and degrees than Darwin have written books which refute Darwin, even though some of those men do not believe in God, themselves, they are at least honest enough to admit the truth and to present the truths of their research. One such man is Dr Stephen C. Meyer.
Quote:
Dr. Stephen C. Meyer received his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in the philosophy of science. A former geophysicist and college professor, he now directs the Center for Science and Culture at the Discovery Institute in Seattle. In 2004, Meyer ignited a firestorm of media and scientific controversy when a biology journal at the Smithsonian Institution published his peer-reviewed scientific article advancing intelligent design. Meyer has been featured on national television and radio programs, including The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, CBS's Sunday Morning, NBC's Nightly News, ABC's World News, Good Morning America, Nightline, FOX News Live, and the Tavis Smiley show on PBS. He has also been featured in two New York Times front-page stories and has garnered attention in other top-national media.
So, Darwinian religionists, have a go at Dr Meyer's research refuting Darwinianism, and tell us why you can still hold onto Darwinianism with a straight face, in light of true science research which shows Darwin's folly.

You never told me what your degree was in and from where you received it? And again you are comparing education limitations in the 19th century to now is just retarded. Please post the link to the info you provided so I may research. Thank you.

Because she probably thinks evilution was Darwin's idea alone. Satan got a hold of his brain and made him conjure up the myth of evilution to deceive man. Nobody but Darwin had such ideas.

What was the anti-God, racist book and what does YSM's OP have to do with the title of the thread? Pretty poor opener.

So - are you going to post something to debate?

But hey, you're not entirely wrong. Did you know that Lord Kelvin proved Darwin wrong ? - the Sun could not possibly have maintained its energy output for more than a few tens of millions of years. Of course, science later discovered nuclear processes and rather cut off Lord Kelvin's theory of what powered the Sun at the knees, but for a few decades, the best possible hard science proved Darwin's theory impossible.

The confounded thing was, of course, that biologists kept finding data that supported the ToE and didn't have much use for an astrophysicist. Geologists found that a longer timescale worked better for them. And even a grand old man of science like Kelvin was proven wrong, eventually.

Here's the tired old "A few guys refute it, versus the hundreds of millions who know it's true." argument So what? Science is full of internal dispute until the proofs are irrefutible, which, in the case of Evolution, is the case. Any twit can now prove it in the lab. We've moved on, and are now just filling in the tiny accurate proven details.

There does seem to be some "dogs" fighting out in the alley though.. Oh... it's just some Creationists tussling about whose pet theory is more absurd....

Sorry, as usual, you have no case. Just poorly supported personal opinion.

And, BTW, your personal bitter and mis-informed obsession with the clever mind of Darwin is not healthy. You've bitten too hard on the bait that the Theist websites have provided. You've gone and broken your intellectual teeth! They, after all, are just looking for another mindless bull terrier to do their bidding.

I prefer to come to my own conclusions, frankly.

Dr. Stephen Meyer: Science Director of The Discovery Center. TV personality (now that's quite the unique accreditation, huh? So is Paula Abdul! I wonder what she thinks about Evolution... It's important to know, after all!). Publisher/seller of popular books on God. Oooooohhh! Oh, aaaaaand.. Senior Fellow at the Center for Science and Culture. which is, you guessed it,

http://www.discovery.org/csc/

....an Anti-Darwinian Theist website, absent any scientific credibility. And it's also a host of the stunningly intellectually and "biochemically bereft" and thoroughly discredited and awesomely scientifically illiterate Ben Stein! (I did notice that the DONATE button is prominently highlighted though... Oddly, I didn't see that on the Oxford University site! You also notice that Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, etc. do not spend their time trying to come up with catchy controversially titled books to sell? These theist fiction writers are such *intellectual-hoars huh? Anything to sell a few thousand books to the easily swayed masses, and hang the truth!)

A brief quote from his organization:

"...the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture (CSC) (goal is ) in promoting intelligent design (ID), and has become a comprehensive clearinghouse for ID resources, including news releases, publications, multimedia products and an elementary school science curriculum. It's stated mission is "providing accessible information on science, technology and society issues from an intelligent design perspective."

Now these are some serious credentials, I'd agree! and SOOOOO unbiased!

Hmmm.. I also looked The Discovery Center up:

About The Discovery Center, located in Binghamton, NY. (http://www.thediscoverycenter.org/about-the-discovery-center.html - broken link)

Here's the "campus"...

Visit The Discovery Center, a hands-on museum for children, located in the Southern Tier of NY (http://www.thediscoverycenter.org/visit-us.html - broken link)

It's a children's activity museum (wow! Higher learning and cutting-edge research at work!) with a few simplistic science experiments ( a Focult's pendulum, some magnets, other cute exhibits).

These "cetners" are hardly the same as, for example, Richard Dawkin's alma mater:

http://www.dcs.shef.ac.uk/ml/summer_...all_oxford.jpg

At one location, there's honest painstaking cutting-edge work being done on all fronts in scientific investigation, with no pre-conceived notions about anything.

At the other, children are working with fingerpaints, posterboards and biased interpretations about evolution. or disseminating ID literature to believers. (No-one else will accept them. Preaching to the choir, etc.)

Chose one for the best education. Quick-now!

Your Doc Meyers is just one of a statistically tiny handful of scientists who have, apparently, abandoned their interests in open-minded investigation. The other few million who graduate every year globally, who know Evolution to be true, and whose ongoing work builds on it's many many proven aspects, dismiss your few acolytes as highly biased and mired in religious dogma and guilt.

Tough, I know, to be so entrenched on the losing side.

Sorry. Again, No Sale. Wow; you're not doin' too good against reality and truth, are you?

Default amazon.com's selling of a book does not make it's contents true!

This same erroneous thinking would place Oppenheimer as personally responsible for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Or Jesus as responsible for Auschwitz. He was purported to be a Jew after all.

Fact is, people look for scapegoats for their orchestrated anger. Darwin presented what we now know to be a remarkably insightful concept about natural selection. To blame Darwin for later ideas is to dramatically demonstrate one's amazing lack of scientific education.

It fell on others, once the inherent beauty of DNA/RNA came to be fully understood, to propose the initial theories of evolution through mutation and adaptation. And later, to prove them, as is now the case. Of course, this then proved that Darwin's concepts had a legitimate basis all along. He'd have been pleased to know the "whys" and "hows" of what he'd so accurately observed and documented. Of course, in their misplaced anger, the Christians still would have wanted him burned at the stake. You know, for thinking.

Simple blurted-out Denialism about Evolution or any other well-developed scientific fact does not dismss it; it only shows up the fools in the audience.

To use a famous phrase by President Obama: Can you overcome your stupidity about the subject of evolution? YesHuaCan!
