The answer wouldn't matter anyway, would it, foma? This is just another sticky point that Christians (beg pardon to the nice ones, but you do!) manage to twist and turn into something that sounds half plausible, until you think about it.

I'm not trying to be negative or a smarta--. I guess I'm trying to say that if what you say is a true fact, then what do suggest non-Christians to do?
I think he means anyone. Doesn't matter if you are Christian, Jewish, Muslim or atheist....I think he was just pondering the question--What if the proof were there in front of you...what then?

Ahh, I get it now. I guess those "reading posts 'til 1am" days should be limited!

If the proof was in front of me, whatever religion it may be, just before I died I'd quote Johnny Cash, "Lordy, lordy, have mercy on me"!

What if Johnny Cash is GOD!! That would be funny.

Hypothetical, right? Okay ,I would spend the last few minutes praying for forgiveness for my mistakes, and thanking him that I have this last opportunity to make it right.Absolutely nothing would stop me, not even the devil who will give it his last shot. I longed for this oportunity to spend eternity with my Lord, and the devil will lose me!!!

Kind of off-topic but blue62 for some reason made me think of this: anybody ever see the movie Constatine? Love it? Hate it? I thought it was an interesting movie ... the end is about "the last moment of your life".

HoponPop, if there wasnt, then i guess I would just go in the ground, but if I am right then Heaven awaits, either way, it is better than the alternative.

If you had the opportunity to change your belief system at that moment would you? And if you choose not to make that change, what is it that would stop you from doing so?
Yes I've read about famous outspoken atheists who were on their death beds, & they suddenly started screaming in terror because they saw the demons gathering around to take their soul.

I recently found a lot more cases that were the same.

The only thing they can do is give their soul to God at that moment. Give your soul to God & Trust that God will save you.

I keep reading through posts and can't rid of that thought...
I think, there is great example of complete pre death conversion.
Of course, it's in the bible, so for many it will not be of any value yet, it is beautifully poetic and appropriate, I'd say.
Y'all remember a bandit that was hung on the cross next to JC? A man, that dedicated his life to nothing but mischief and sin. Certainly, he had some sort of values, deeply embedded in him.

He converted.
