Oh I love it! As one who had it all worked out as to what was a logical choice and what simply wasn't a feasible option and then had forgotten everything I ever knew about logic and reason when confronted with a juicy piece of Ass, I can see how Adam could be hornswoggled into what was, let's face it, a divine stitch -up.
Reverend Boudreaux was the part-time pastor of the local Cajun Baptist Church and Pastor Thibodaux was the minister of the Covenant Church across the road. They were both standing by the road, pounding a sign into the ground, that read:
"Da End is Near.
Turn Yo Sef 'Roun Now
Afore It Be Too Late!"
As a car sped past them, the driver leaned out his window and yelled, 'You religious nuts!'
From the curve they heard screeching tires, a big splash and then silence....
Boudreaux turns to Thibodaux and asks,
'Do ya tink maybe da sign should jussay.....'Bridge Out?'
During a Papal audience, a business man approached the Pope and made this offer: Change the last line of the Lord's prayer from "give us this day our daily bread" to "give us this day our daily chicken." and KFC will donate 10 million dollars to Catholic charities. The Pope declined. 2 weeks later the man approached the Pope again. This time with a 50 million dollar offer. Again the Pope declined. A month later the man offers 100 million, this time the Pope accepts. At a meeting of the Cardinals, The Pope announces his decision in the good news/bad news format. The good news is... that we have 100 million dollars for charities. The bad news is that we lost the Wonder Bread account!
Proof that religious types have a sense of humor.
On the marquee at the neighborhood church...
"Without the bread of life you're toast."
