I think it might encouraging if a theist has watched it. Yes, it's a start but, as you may know, I think only a start, not a finish.
It's a valid point that just pointing out a few discrepancies or even a few dozen is not going to disprove the Bible or God or religion. But understanding the discrepancies and why they are there and what that tells us about the Bible and how and why it was written, is what gives us the finish.
the only arguments against God's existence ,one- people pulling out fawlty bible verses-and using that as an excuse
the other is either-species evolution theory or the big bang theory and actually this cant have any real purpose to the question-because even if these theorys were true it still dosent rule out the possibilitys of the existence of a God...infact in IMO if these theorys were true it should support the argument,..only God could have made ALL THIS WITH A BIG BANG
so please feel free to give any proof if you can or just let us hear your thoughts
Well, let me use an analogous situation:
You assert there is a full-grown elephant in your house, roaming around at will. I say "that is ridiculous, there is no elephant roaming around in your house. I have been there many times, and neither, seen, heard or smelled an elephant or any evidence thereof.
You see, the complete and total lack of evidence of something existing, amounts to "proof" that it doesn't, and the more complete the fruitless search, the more substantial the "proof". Perhaps, not absolute proof, but certainly sufficient to sustain a holding in a criminal court.
The problem with this is that the burden of proof is on the theist, not the atheist. The burden of proof lies on the one making a positive claim. Theists are the ones positing there is a god. Atheists are just saying there's no evidence that merits belief and therefore it would be irrational to postulate god exists.
It really needs to be stated in no other terms........this is precisely right.
You can't prove that something doesn't exist, as you can't display all possibilities and all examples in order, thus showcasing that one thing in particular is not in attendance. Prove that there's no Santa Claus! It's not easy. At least with him, you could trek to the North Pole and show how there really isn't a little elf village there. For God, where would you go to prove "He wasn't there"? You simply can't prove a negative.
There are pink unicorns grazing in my backyard right now. It's too dark to take pictures of them, so I can't provide proof, but the are there.

IPUs and FSM are "Gods" invented by people claiming to be Atheist.
I guess they figured that since they didn't have a God, they'd create them. It's their evolutionary proclivity to do so...plus, they probably didn't want to feel "left out".
