True. But they can be a whole lot easier to live with once they are.

No. An ass is an ass no matter the conditions. Bigotry is a shortcut.

It's just good that you can admit that christians do actually do what I suggested. They seem to have an inability to think things through.

I was just reading a news story about some social studies teachers in the Midwest who had resigned due to the lessons on slavery that they developed. And, as a retired educator, all I could think was: these teachers were too dumb to think about the consequences of what they were doing? Now that's not a christian example, but it is a good example of this non-thinking group attitude that is often exemplified by christian privilege.

Did someone here claim that atheists achieve perfection? I must have missed it.

The difference is who has the power.

Christians are humans. I will not get into the game of dividing people into groups because it can have real consequences in the real world, and most of the time it is the innocent getting hurt and/or killed.

Hell has no fury compared to men who think they are somehow being slighted.

I should have clarified. I felt compelled to do the fundamental Christian thing, i.e., reading the bible, going to church, fasting, praying for hours on end, etc., when both my husband and I were in that life. I would get so bored. Once he became an atheist or agnostic, he didn't want to do those things. It was easier for me once we were both on the same page. Maybe I was the ass? LOL>

LOL. I doubt you were an ass. Perhaps a repetitious, safe bore but not a ass.

My ex was an ass in search of a cause.

We don't have to 'get in the game' because Jesus will do the separating at the soon coming time of Matthew 25:31-33,37.

this is a pipe dream gabfest. We have to form up in groups. Groups just seem to work better than no groups.

Moderator cut: We aren't discussing guns in the R&S forums.

Yes, there is always incent people getting hurt. We get to choose who they are. Today, in America, we are choosing police, women, and children to be in the most danger. So you have 1/2 a point there.
