For several years I vacationed during Summer with friends at one of their father's home in the less wealthy part of the Hamptons. The father was a retired MD from NYC. At about 10:30 each morning he'd ask me if I knew what time it was in Israel. No, I'd reply. He'd then say it must be 5 p.m. or later, and, therefore, okay to start drinking. He was in his 80s. Drank daily. Lived a wonderful life in retirement.
