My daughter is constantly asking me to move down to Texas to be near her and her kids, especially now that my husband died this past Jan. I thought about it and then told her no. I've been to visit down there many times and I can not stand the heat and humidity of East Texas. I live on the Atlantic here in Massachusetts and it can be too hot and humid in the summer. WHY would I go from fry pan into the fire? I also can't stand the bugs, snakes, alligators. Nope, I may hate to shovel snow but at least I don't hate to see the sun come up in the summer time.

I'm also selling my house here on the beach to move back to the house hubby and I bought when we were first married. He had no life insurance so I can't afford the taxes on both places anymore and there is no end in sight here in this area.

IF I ever moved south, it would probably be to Florida. Nice and flat for bike riding!

There are plenty of alligators in Texas. Don't forget that they do things big in Texas; that includes the gators.
