Friday morning she had surgery and she'll be there at least until Monday, perhaps later.

Kinda rules out any 4th of July celebrations. I need to talk to her about that. Lousy timing!

If she's home we can watch some of the fireworks on the lake from our front deck.
Hope she gets better soon - hang in there.

I haven't been on C-D for several days, so had missed this post. Sending good thoughts to you and your wife.

Thanks, Umbria and anifan. She gets better every day. Had to cancel our planned trip to celebrate one grandchild's 4th birthday and to meet a new one for the first time but such is life. They'll be time once my wife is feeling a whole lot stronger and more comfortable.

Silly little community parade was fun to watch and fireworks over the lake were beautiful.

Glad to have her back and while still sore, she's feeling a whole lot better. She's also happy to be home and the house beasts (cats) are happy too.

On the 4th we'll be watching our little community "parade" from the comfort of our front deck then fireworks over the lake in the evening.
Glad to hear your wife is feeling better and I doubt you mind being "stuck with her". lol

I got home from work about 7:30 last night and figured the fireworks would start about 8:00. Nope, they didn't start till 9:00! They are at the fairgrounds, about six blocks from my house, so we have an absolutly fantastic view and they were, as usual, spectacular. For such a small town we always have a great show. I bet watching them over a lake would be fantastic too what with the reflections and all. We watch from the front patio. My grandson and his family live next door so we get a chance to actually visit over the fence too. The other grandsons and families end up there too so it's like a mini reunion. lol We are all so busy all the time all we have time to do is wave back and forth, seems like.
