No, not the soap opera, I mean the days in our lives. If you are retired, do you ever forget them or get them mixed up? Do you feel differently about them? Like the weekends are not such a big deal any longer if you don't have to work?

I used to always know what day it was when I worked. Now I sometimes find I have to take a peek at the calendar to make sure I'm on the right day. Anyone else have to do this?

Not knowing or caring what day it is = one of the best things about retirement.

Today, my husband asked me (while we were in town) if I knew what day it was. I said "I DID !", but only because it was ground beef Tuesday @ the meat market. LOL However, I did have to look at the calendar a couple days ago, so I could make it to town for the special.

I miss my weekends and paid vacations...but I DON"T miss Mondays

I've always had lots going on, so never had weekends off anyway. In fact my most favorite jobs were on weekends. I would have much preferred to work weekends and have the rest of the week off!

Having grown up on a dairy farm, EVERYDAY has been a weekend since I left home! (@ age 16...)

Now-a-days... I know its Friday when there is traffic (2 or more cars)

We take care of business and do our trips during the week (no crowds or traffic), or not, and weekends are stay-at-home days.

Same here! We also have 'senior discount days' on Tues/Wed at the local grocery store...best time to shop!

I was just joking about that on the OT forum. Wednesdays will soon mean something other than "Hump Day." Instead it will become "Senior's $1 Day" at the movies.

The only reasons I know what day it is is because I go to the gym on MWF and I go to a spin bike class on Thursday and also Thursday is the day to put out the rubbish bin. I won't go shopping on weekends as the stores are too crowded.

Love retirement!

It's pretty bad when you show up at the dentist and are told by the receptionist it's the wrong day. It happened.
