The point is that one of the main things known about high blood pressure is that high blood pressure often has ZERO symptoms.

All of the literature emphasizes this point. Many people are walking around with untreated high blood pressure and have ZERO symptoms. Having untreated high blood pressure is a huge health problem in the U.S.

I was just correctly laughing traveler's erroneous idea that he would have symptoms if he has high blood pressure.

(but perhaps, laughing traveler was referring to developing symptoms related to his low blood pressure, and having low blood pressure does, indeed, have symptoms at times)

At my last visit three weeks ago it was 134/83. Doctor said it's probably due to the stress I've been under. I've monitoring it here at home. It's been 117-125/ 70-81. I go see him on Friday.

That coupled w/ the low blood pressure has left some nurses scratching their heads over the years.
My normal is the same 97 as was my fathers. Interesting.

I can check one day to the next and it is never the same. I do take a mild BP pill. Usually it runs about 130/70, sometimes it is up to 150/80 and sometimes as low as 115/65. My dad and his mom had hight BP, both lived to be in their 90s. My mother in law had low BP and she lived to be in her 90s. Go figure?

Your blood pressure changes from minute to minute hour to hour, it all depends on what you are doing at the time you take it. If you just had a stressful moment it will read high, if you were just relaxing it may read low.
If you have a blood pressure unit try it every few minutes and see how it changes.

I didn't feel right and came home early. Even stopped beside the road for a few minutes to rest. When I got home it was 106/56 which is way low for me. The morning it was high. I'm still lethargic.

Nomadicus, the blood pressure pill you took this morning which you mentioned sounds like the dose is too high for you since it resulted in 106/56.
