Thank you AZDesertBrat. I know you feel my pain but it IS getting easier. Even the boss took me aside and told me he thinks he did me a terrible injustice putting me with 3 or more cashiers. Everybody does things differently. I almost fainted. I should have been put with one good cashier.. So he is really going to go easy on me when I do make mistakes. I feel so good today. I go to work at 1:30 and can't wait. I have found my part time job to help me move to FL.

If one is still financially required to 'get-up and go to work', one is either "working" or "semi-retired" (or 'working part-time'). Referring to one's employment as "working after retirement" is like regularly overeating, yet, continuing to claim that one is 'dieting!'

Good for you and I'm glad to hear it. You'll be okay, honest. And you'll be in FL before you know it!

I go in at 10:30 AM today and work till 7 PM. I've been gone on family leave for a week so I might get to use that old "need to be retrained" trick. lol

Isn't it odd that, even though the processes are the same, you'll get different nuances from different trainers? Happens all the time.

Glad to hear you have such an understanding boss and supportive coworkers, Tarajane! Sounds like a great place to work.

I may end up working past 65 too, just never really looked ahead and followed a career path. I could say that I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I have a degree, but in Sociology rather than something you can get a job with, and I just let circumstances dictate where I worked. I stayed at one job for 21 years when I should have looked for something else- but I was earning reasonable money for some of that time and did not think about the lack of pension or medical benefits.
