I didn't vote because it depends on my ability to enjoy life. Mom is 84, independent and enjoying her self but my in-laws were in very poor health and I would NOT want as existence like they had in their last several years of life.

I'm not ready yet but when I am I want to be the one to pull the plug.

The day they tell me to go to the nursing home is the day I pull that plug.

I am 72

My original post stipulated decent health. Otherwise all bets (and wishes) are off.

Why is the poll not including younger years such as 60's and 70's ? I'm 64 and I am tired of being less physically able and bored terribly so I would be content dying now. Not being physically very fit to have marvelous adventures is really no fun at all.

Only 90-100? I want to live longer than that.

I didn't vote either because, I don't expect to live to 80. I am currently 62 with several illnesses, including heart. As a result I could go any time and because of the pain and fatigue I suffer now, I would not want to live another decade or two. Nor will I have the resources.

Good point. I wanted to keep the options to no more than 6, and assumed probably wrongly so that many of us on here are in our 60s-70s now.

Well, truth to tell I'm not so sure I'll make it to 80. My wish is to see my grandtwins graduate from high school (when I'm 80) then I'm good to go anytime after that. As someone said, I'm not sure either that I want to see my grandkids in their 30s. It has been enough to see my kids that age!

I hope to be a male version of Dorothy Gale Kloss or Betty White (not that I can dance or sing. But I have that same "Life has too much to offer and I like it here😄" attitude. I do love to act). In their 90s and acting like they are in their 40s. Genes and attitude.

I would only want to know when I'd die so
I could tie up all loose ends.

Circumstances change sometimes daily.
