My family looks like they are 12 until they turn 18 years and three months. The face then magically transforms overnight to a face that looks to be 30 years old from 18 years three months until our 67th birthday. Once we hit the 67th birthday, overnight we magically look 90!!!
I guess I look better than my dad at the same age. But he was a chain smoker and an alcoholic, plus he had the stress of the depression, WWII, five kids, and a small town police dept. to run. Personally, I don't worry much about how my face looks. I haven't done an assessment, and usually barely notice much. It is what it is. Never could change it, so why start trying now.
I'm actually happy to not be pretty anymore. I now just like every other old woman. Yay! I had so much trouble in my younger years until I finally got a woman supervisor who saw I could do the job & became my mentor. Prior to that I felt like I was looked at as an 'arm piece' & the best I could do was reception work. Very frustrating.
I'm not in the market for a job or a mate so having a prettier or younger-looking face would add nothing of any value to my life.
As long as my appearance doesn't scare small children, it's all good.
Well, I'm 66, but look 36. But there is this old man who haunts me. By god, when I look in the mirror he is always looking back at me!!
I always say to him, "Out, damn spot! out, I say!" But he refuses to leave.
Curses!
Sounds like that ol' lady that seems to live at MY house! I wouldn't mind her being here if she'd just pitch in and do some of the work around here! But, no, I think she just hangs out in the bathroom all the time 'cause that's the only place I ever really see her. Hmmmm...maybe she has a continence problem??
Isn't it kind of funny how we perceive ourselves as we age....I have people all the time tell me they can't believe I am as old as I am when I tell them my age (PROUD to be 60+, LOTS of people never live to see it!), but I feel I look older than my age....LOL
Every wrinkle I have was well earned, but the gray hair just washes me out or I would quit coloring it all together.....if I don't color it, I look soooooooo pale and washed out. I ENVY people that have the complexion to pull off letting their hair go grey!!!!

How about a little blush on the cheeks, a little lipstick? I use a hairspray that makes my hair shiny.... livens up the gray.
I love my gray hair. It's my marking. No two people go gray alike. Lately my face is reflective. Eight hours of sleep and I sparkle. Little or no sleep and my face tells the story. A martini... face shows it the next day. There's no hiding much at this age.
If it wasn't for the seborrheic dermatitis that causes redness and flaking that runs in my family I would be very happy with my face. I am frequently guessed to be 10 years younger than I really am.
