You could sign up for a one month free trial of Netflix which is what I did. Maybe I'll start a subscription.

I enjoyed the book too!

Our Souls at Night with Robert Redford.

On Netflix.

Excellent even if it has Jane Fonda in it.

If a family member or friend has Netflix and is willing to share it by telling you the email address and password to their account, you can access it that way.

Once "in" you can create a separate profile for yourself where you can queue things, pause things and return to them at another time, etc etc.

Love love LOVED Hello, My Name is Doris (2015) with Sally Field. It features Jack Antonoff (Bleachers) one of my favorite musicians. Doris is introduced to a new, much younger co-worker (played by Max Greenfield) and develops a gigantic crush on him. Hilarity and heartbreak ensues, but at the heart of it it's a touching story about letting go. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2425486/

I have a soft spot for Sally Field ever since her Gidget days. In my younger years she was my doppelganger.

Another really good flick is Gloria (2013) set in Santiago, Chile. In some ways I felt like it mirrors my own life! https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2425486/

Yes, 'Gloria' is a good film. Saw it on Amazon Prime. Think I'll watch it again since I saw it a number of years ago.

Those who have Comcast cable probably know that Netflix and Amazon Prime are available through Comcast now, with Amazon Prime added to Comcast just a month or two ago, so one can watch films on the larger TV screen rather than on one's laptop computer, iPad, or tablet. (if one didn't have a Fire stick, Apple TV, or Roku etc)

You must have subscriptions to Amazon Prime and Netflix, though, to watch them using Comcast cable.

Typically movies of this type don’t interest me but, after I retired, I worked part time at a place where I was the oldest by far among many that were in their early twenties. So I watched “The Intern” starring Robert Deniro as a retired executive who goes to work, as an intern, for a young entrepreneur with a small company of mostly young people. I was curious if it had any insight as to how young folks viewed an older person like that in their work environment. I thought it was just “meh” as a movie and was merely amusing rather than insightful; I should have known better.

The Wife with Glen Close. Oscar nominated and she should get it, she was superb. But the story/plot is very weak. But nice to watch an old marriage and what holds it together.
