What "splurges" do you most enjoy in retirement? (moving, years)

I don't know if this is an indulgence or what but it is something I never could do before retiring. I feel like I missed part of a full rounded education because I was such a technoid in college (physics and chemistry majors) so I have been trying to go back and fill holes - philosophy, history, classic literature. I like learning stuff.

I splurged on a Krieghoff shotgun that's costs as much as Toyota Corolla. I use it weekly to shoot clay targets.

Wanderlust flexibility.

Took a 1 day trip yesterday, flew 1200 miles (2 hrs); rented a car; attended 4 events including great parks + a new museum; ate at (3) favorite 'local' cafes (one has been open daily since 1908); spent 4 hours on the beach; flew home after sunset.

But... indulgences = homemade Ice Cream. Make different flavors every week.
Summers are great (4 different types of berries are ripe at the moment)

Free concerts in the park; (2) today / tonight

Being able to drive over to Costco in the early afternoon during the week with little traffic to fight against. Walking past the seafood isle and spotting a three pack of snapper on sale. Grabbing a nice bottle of sauvignon blanc while heading to the check out line. Getting home and finding where my sous-chef is sleeping. I tell him its time to prepare dinner again and he starts to wag his tail. We go outside to our outdoor kitchen and get the charcoal started. We start to prepare our herb marinade for the fish as the air soon fills with the smell of smoke. I ask my sous-chef if its 5'oclock yet, he wags his tail. I pour myself a glass of wine while we let the fish marinade and I sit at the high top. My dog starts to chase lizards before spotting a squirrel at the base of a tree down in the field. I take a sip as my dog streaks off towards the squirrel. Mr squirrel waits for the last second before racing up the tree just far enough to turn around and say something nasty to my dog. I take another sip before thinking what my buddy and I can grill tomorrow.

I haven't found it yet in our present abode but what I seek is a bakery cafe of the quality of Palo Alto's Prolific Oven...a place where you can walk in, select a slice from a dozen or more freshly-baked cakes and pair it with espresso, chai or their signature hot chocolate.
