Restaurants are open for dining outdoors here, we’ve been to a couple of restaurants recently. Frankly everything is almost back to normal here except for traveling. Despite all the hoopla about CV, our city has 12 deaths, 1200 cases of CV out of a population of 280,000. I think that is amazing.
For us, we turned off paid TV, we were able to clean some more boxes out of a garage, my husband is going to get a new sport car so that’s his motivation. We’re down from 32 boxes to maybe 6 now.
I am back to about as normal as things can be under the circumstances. With that said, cases have exploded here in recent weeks, and I can tell crowds at restaurants and such are way less than a month or two ago.
My dog is going to have a nervous breakdown when I finally leave the house on a regular basis.
Oh, I take my dog to two nearby parks for walks. We've been walking for years. She's old, now, so can't walk as far as before, esp in the heat. But she still loves it, like I do. I live near a small park 3 miles down the road...a lovely small park with walking sidewalks circling a large playground, and a boat launch, with a small wetlands area. So we walk to launch, down on the wharf, watch the boats, then hit hte wetlands for a few good whiffs (lol). I also live near a state park...7 miles down the road. A great place to walk. Beautiful.
I did that before, and after, the shutdown.
I don't walk the neighborhood. It's not walkable.
I'm too proccupied with house stuff to do much of anything else. It's hard work. Couldn't find anyone to do it for me.
I really don't expect things to return to "normal" this year. I have been retired for 24 years, so I am fortunate in avoiding some of the stresses of working folks.
We are mostly hibernating, watching TV and pecking away on the computers. The swimming pools close at 2 pm, but we are not in a hurry to go there anyway. All club activity has been suspended here in our 55+ community.
It is a good time to do minor fix-em-ups inside the condo.
