Just remember we paid our dues, now they have to pay theirs to reap the reward.

I couldn't do a brake job if I tried. I recall taking a car repair introduction course at my local high school and the instructor broke my hub cap off my car. That was it for me. Never went back and I was too young and stupid not to know the school could have paid for the broken hub cap by the instructor.

It does cost more to have professional car service, but they know a lot more than I do about cars. I just pay, ride, and go.

So true. So true. It is a right of passage into senior life.

I am less than two years from retirement and I have developed the patience of a Saint as long as I have not been taken advantage of. I am looking forward to letting everyone rush through their day. When I have a car appointment I usually go with one of my buddies and we grab a good lunch afterward.

As far as brake repair, we have an old 99 Jeep Wrangler we only use on the beach. It took me two months of an hour here and hour there. Replaced all the brakes, hard lines, soft lines, master cylinder. You name it I replaced it. I had a good time ordering parts online and taking my time all along thinking how sweet retirement is going to be without clocks and calendars!
